What Happens During a Gas Safety Check?
When the gas safe registered engineer performs the safety checks, they will check that all of your gas appliances are operating safely.
The Gas Safety Regulations state: “It’s the duty of every employer or self-employed person to ensure that any gas appliance, installation pipe work or flue installed at any place of work under their control is maintained in a safe condition so as to prevent risk or injury to any person.”

Obtain Your Gas Safety Certificate
If you have a commercial property with gas appliances then it is compulsory to have an annual gas safety check and obtain a Gas Safety Certificate to show that you are complying with The Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998. There was a further amendment to the regulation in 2018, which is why it is important to always use a company that you know will be up to date with the latest regulations/amendments and will have completed any necessary training.
